Founder Masaru Fujikawa (now chairman and representative director) establishes Tocad Co., Ltd. (capital: JPY 3,000,000/now closed) as a dealer of Cadnica batteries from Sanyo Electric.

1979
Jan.

Tocad (Hong Kong) Ltd. is established.

1987
Nov.

Tocad America Inc. is established as the base for entering the U.S. market.

1988
Dec.

Tocad Energy Co., Ltd. (capital: JPY 99,000,000), which is still operating, is established.

1990
Oct.

The new company building, which is the current Head Office building, is completed.

1991
Sept.

The Company absorbs the technology development division of Tocad Engineering Co., Ltd.

1992
Nov.

Tohoku Factory (Wagumae, Shiroishi City, Miyagi) is transferred from Tohoku Sunpac Co., Ltd.

1994
Oct.

Tocad Sunpac (Hong Kong) Ltd. establishes Zhuhai Factory (China).

1997
Mar.

The Company acquires a factory as its production base in Japan and begins operating it as Shiroishi Factory (Higashimachi, Shiroishi City, Miyagi).

1999
Aug.

ISO 9001 certification is acquired for the processing of assembled batteries at the Shiroishi Factory.

Dec.

Tocad Sunpak (Hong Kong) Ltd. acquires ISO 9001 certification.

Shiroishi Factory acquires ISO 14001 certification.

Oct.

Tocad Energy (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd. is established in Zhuhai, China.

Jul.

The Head Office acquires ISO 14001 certification.

Tocad Sunpak (Hong Kong) Ltd. is renamed Tocad Energy (Hong Kong) Ltd.

Dec.

Shiroishi Factory is rebuilt.

Feb.

Production at Shenzhen Factory in China is terminated, and overseas production is consolidated into Zhuhai Factory.

Dec.

Tocad Energy Electronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is liquidated.

Nagoya Sales Office is integrated into Osaka Sales Office.
